HJF is seeking an Education Technician for student and faculty support for the Adult Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist (AGCNS) program and data and records support for the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. This includes data entry, data management, records management, travel coordination and developing and maintaining project documentation.

This position will be in support of Uniformed Services University Graduate School of Nursing.

  • Coordinates meetings, room scheduling, and maintains meeting minutes and agendas.
    Develops and maintains centralized e-file plan.
  • Updates education curriculum as directed by faculty including slide decks, instructor lesson plans, and digital or print participant resources.
  • Obtains training in the Defense Travel System and assists students and faculty with official travel.
  • Records Management: Assist the designated school records manager in establishing, maintaining and destroying records using the Administrative Instruction on OSD Records and Information Management program.
  • Works with administrators to implement the GSN E-File plan. Ensures the USU Records management team is notified of faculty, staff and contractor departures and appropriate forms are completed and submitted prior to departure.
  • Input and Manage Data Records: Conduct routine and ad-hoc academic data entry tasks, including the cleansing, reconciliation, and standardization of data across core repositories to ensure integrity and consistency.
  • Verify and Validate Data Accuracy: Perform comprehensive and systematic data reviews, audits, and validate critical academic and demographic data points by cross-referencing information against official USU system data sets. Ensure data is accurately represented in all core repositories.
  • Maintain Project Documentation: Manage and update documentation, including generating new data definition sections.
  • Develop Data Visualization Assets: Develop and maintain data visualization assets, which include the creation of pivot tables, charts, and dedicated dashboard pages (e.g., attrition, demographics, certification pass rate) to support data-driven analysis and reporting.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.

Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of people.
  • Must have attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills: familiarity with Google Sheets functions, App scripts, Looker or other data visualization systems is strongly recommended.
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Must have the ability to facilitate proofreading of typewritten material.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a T1 Public Trust background check.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.

Work Environment

  • This position will take place primarily in an office setting.

Compensation

  • The hourly pay range for this position is $25.38 - $38.50. Actual hourly pay will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
