Job title: Assistant Account Executive

Department: Account Management

We are hiring an Assistant Account Executive to work on client business. This person will help manage the execution of projects such as email blasts, direct mail pieces, event collateral, website updates, social and more. S/he will report to the Management Supervisor and work in partnership agency departments, other agencies/partners and Clients to execute a number of critical projects.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills in order to keep all parties (internal and external) updated on project progress, issues, etc. This person will have a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and the ability to work under very tight/aggressive deadlines while managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the execution of multi-channel marketing communications programs that include email, direct mail, digital, web, event, collateral and other marketing communications

  • Act as project leader/owner to ensure all project steps, creative reviews, budget needs, etc. are met

  • Develop creative briefs (both strategy and writing)

  • Lead creative kick-off and creative turnover meetings

  • Develop and manage project timelines

  • Develop estimates and manage cost against project budgets

  • Review creative against the criteria set forth in the creative brief for accuracy

  • Assist in the preparation of client meetings and reviews

A successful Assistant Account Executive will:

  • Have the ability to multi-task, prioritize multiple demands and details, and deliver high-quality work within a fast paced, retail environment

  • Be a self-starter who will take initiative and look for ways to improve any and all aspects of the position, the Client relationship, and our approach to our Client's business

  • Demonstrate a strong grasp of the Client's commercial and business objectives and ways in which MRM can help contribute to both their long and short term business strategy and success

  • Own creative development projects as appropriate and escalate any issues or concerns with these projects to supervisor

  • Establish solid, beneficial relationships in a Client support role, while representing MRM

  • Build and nurture relationships with internal team members

  • Apply a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in work at all times

  • Be familiar with of the basic concepts of CRM, analytics, segmentation and modeling

  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills

Education and Experience:

  • University degree (ideally in marketing, advertising/communications or business studies)

  • 2 years relevant work experience in related fields - ideally with CRM experience; automotive experience is a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
