AccentCare is seeking a per diem Hospice Visit Physician to provide in-home patient visits and backupcoverage for the Hospice Medical Director; a flexible, patient-facingrole ideal for a physician who wants meaningful clinical work in end-of-life care without a full-timecommitment.

Location:Warwick, RI
Coverage Area: Providence, Kent, and Bristol counties

Compensation: Per visit
Schedule: 2-4 hrs/wk, PRN

Be the Best Associate Medical Director Visit Physician You Can Be

If you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you:

• Maintains an active license and DEA in the state of Rhode Island
• Valid driver's license and willingness to drive and make visits in patient homes
• (Preferred) Hospice or hospice visit experience

Job Requirements:

• Evaluate patients for pain, symptom management, and hospice eligibility (admissions and recertifications).
• Counsel patients and families on care options and advance care planning.
• Order tests, initiate treatment, and conduct face-to-face visits as needed.
• Serve as Attending Physician when appropriate.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and communicate with attending physicians to ensure continuity.
• Manage patient medications.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24/7 availability when assigned.
• Complete timely and compliant clinical documentation.
