A Day in the Life:

The Laborer position is a career in the processing department at Bunge in Emporia, Ks. The laborer role is essential in helping with vacation coverage for the process operators (once qualified to run areas) and maintaining good housekeeping.

Position Details:

The Laborer shift follows a 28-day cycle with a four-employee crew. Which consist of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts. Must be willing and able to work overtime.

Pay: $25.62an hour

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Housekeeping duties
  • Participate in Bunge's Employee Safety Involvement Plan
  • Maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees
  • Follow all HAACP procedures and guidelines to ensure product safety and quality
  • Operate and control soybean processing equipment
  • Record data, secure samples, and perform necessary process control tests
  • Adjust and maintain operating parameters
  • Cross train in all processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a safety conscious environment
  • Some mechanical background including the ability to recognize signs of operational failure
