Your Job

As an AQP Engineer, you will partner closely with cross-functional Product Development teams-including Product Design, Manufacturing Integration, Process Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Operations-to drive flawless product launches. You will lead Advanced Quality Planning activities that proactively identify and mitigate risk while ensuring products meet customer expectations for Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

This role combines technical problem-solving, project leadership, and quality engineering expertise to support successful new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced global manufacturing environment.

Work Arrangement:

This is an on-site role requiring five days per week in the office.

This role involves working with global teams and suppliers in Asia, so you'll occasionally join early morning or evening meetings - about two to three times each week. We value your time and allow flexible schedule to balance these commitments.

Quarterly travel to Asia is part of the job, with trips typically lasting up to two weeks.


What You Will Do

  • Lead Advanced Quality Planning Activities
    Own AQP deliverables for new product introductions and engineering changes, including but not limited to Qualification Plans, Critical Dimension Reviews, control plans, Safe Launch activities, and launch readiness execution.
  • Assist with Cross-Functional Program Execution
    Work with Product Design, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Procurement, and Operations teams to manage risks, align deliverables, resolve roadblocks, and ensure on-time project execution.
  • Support Product Validation & Process Qualification
    Help to develop and support DVP&R strategies, process qualifications, capability studies, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), statistical analysis, and qualification activities for new products and manufacturing processes.
  • Lead Risk Assessment & Problem Solving
    Facilitate DFMEA/PFMEA activities, process flow reviews, root cause investigations, Failure Analysis (FA), 8D problem solving, and corrective/preventive actions to improve product and process reliability.
  • Partner with Suppliers & Customers
    Review supplier quality documentation, support component qualification activities, ensure completion of customer-required quality documentation, and assist with shipping judgments and product disposition decisions.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement & Product Development Excellence
    Lead initiatives focused on improving product development quality, strengthening AQP execution, enhancing risk identification and mitigation, and improving launch readiness across the design and development process. Drive standardization, lessons learned integration, and continuous improvement while supporting compliance to ISO, and EH&S requirements.
  • Provide Global Launch Support
    Collaborate with global teams and suppliers through regular off-hours meetings and periodic international travel to Asia to support product launches, supplier development, and manufacturing readiness activities.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering,
  • Experience in Quality Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong understanding of metrology, GD&T, and statistical analysis methods.
  • Experience using Minitab or similar statistical software tools.
  • Knowledge of Advanced Quality Planning tools including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, DOE, and reliability testing.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing, molding, testing, and assembly processes.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 quality systems.
  • Experience with supplier quality, auditing, gauge design, and inspection fixture development.
  • Lean Six Sigma training or certification preferred.

For this role, we anticipate paying $80,000-$100,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
