Leidos is seeking a Technical Writer to support our United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) customer. The Technical Writerwill join our ServiceNowcross-functionalimplementationteam and will be responsible for the creation ofclear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. The ideal candidate will have experienceworking with software developers, business analysts, and trainers todevelophigh leveltechnicaldocuments,user manuals, business use cases, and mapping workflows to ensure stakeholders and end-users can easily understand and adopt solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed workflow diagrams and process documentation to support operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and business analysts to gather information and translate technical concepts into accessible content.

  • Assist Business Analysts with documentingbusiness use cases to capture requirements, scenarios, and expected outcomes.

  • Develop andmaintainuser manuals, installation guides, and product documentation.

  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with documentation standards.

  • Review and edit existing documentation for clarity, usability, and completeness.

  • Support training and onboarding byworking with the Trainer to producehigh-quality reference materials.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of proven experience as a Technical Writer. Business Analyst,or in a similar role. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Strong ability to write and edittechnical documents,user manuals, business use cases, and workflows.

  • Proficiencyin documentation tools (MS Office, Visio,Knowledge Bases, Scout,or similartools).

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, ITAM modules.

  • Experience in IT, SaaS, or enterprise software documentation.

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, Rally, Jira, or other workflow-driven platforms.

  • Knowledge of diagramming tools (Visio,Lucidchart,Snaggit).

  • ServiceNowCSA and/or CIS.
