Job Title: Patient Scheduling Representative (Call Center) Experience Level: Entry Level Industry: Healthcare Schedule: (Insert schedule details if applicable) Location: (Insert location or remote status) Job Description The Patient Scheduling Representative is responsible for scheduling patient appointments while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with IU Health policies. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced call center environment while maintaining compassion and professionalism. Key Responsibilities * Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently * Follow and reinforce all policies related to case scheduling * Communicate all necessary information for each scheduled appointment * Audit and/or complete electronic documentation of patient and case information in a timely manner * Meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy * Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, peers, and leadership on a daily basis * Demonstrate empathy and professionalism in all patient interactions * Consistently embody IU Health's core values of Purpose, Excellence, Compassion, and Team Required Skills * Call center experience * Strong customer service skills * Accurate and efficient data entry * Clear verbal and written communication Must-Have Qualifications * 2+ years of recent call center experience * High attention to detail, particularly with data entry * Ability to adapt to changing workflows and support different departments as needed * Ability to think quickly and respond professionally in high-volume situations * Strong empathy and interpersonal skills * Alignment with IU Health core values: Purpose, Excellence, Compassion, and Team Nice to Have * Bachelor's Degree Disqualifiers * CNA experience Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
