Lactalis US Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Trade Planning Analyst position based in Bedford, NH.

The Trade Planning Analyst drives profitable volume and revenue growth across a portfolio of Tier 2 and Tier 3 grocery accounts. This role leverages Revenue Growth Management (RGM) principles to optimize trade promotion spending, maximize ROI, and champion data-driven commercial decisions.

Serving as a critical strategic and analytics partner to the Sales team, this role leads trade planning, customer forecasting, and post-promotion performance analysis. The Trade Planning Analyst collaborates closely with cross-functional partners in Finance, Supply Chain, and RGM to turn data insights into actionable business strategies.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Develop and execute promotional trade plans aligned with Revenue Growth Management (RGM) guidance on pricing, frequency, and promotional depth.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales team to support comprehensive customer planning initiatives, including line reviews, Joint Business Planning (JBP), and routine performance reviews.
  • Analyze syndicated and internal data streams to identify and isolate key business drivers across pricing, promotion, assortment, and distribution.
  • Utilize TPO tools (e.g., Circana PTA) to model, optimize, and evaluate potential pricing and promotional scenarios.
  • Evaluate trade spend efficiency and conduct rigorous ROI analyses on promotional activities and pricing strategies.
  • Proactively identify trade spending inefficiencies and recommend strategic actions to enhance overall profitability.
  • Establish and maintain robust customer forecasts, accurately accounting for baseline sales, promotional lift, and gross-to-net calculations.
  • Ensure the accurate setup, tracking, and execution of promotional events within internal TPM systems (e.g., GoSimple).
  • Monitor, track, and report out on key performance metrics, focusing on ROI, revenue growth, and margin health.
  • Deliver high-quality ad hoc analysis and data support to key stakeholders across the Sales, Finance, and Demand Planning teams.

Requirements

From your STORY to ours

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • Bachelor's degree required; major in Business, Finance, or a related analytical field is preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in data analytics, business development, category management, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), or corporate finance is preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience with syndicated data platforms or similar analytical packages is required; specific knowledge of Circana, Nielsen, or proprietary Customer Data Portals is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with PowerPoint, Python, and Power BI to enhance reporting and data visualization is preferred.
  • Analyze complex data and business situations, accurately identifying root causes, trends, and key drivers to support effective, data-driven decisions.
  • Transmit and receive information clearly, communicating effectively across diverse stakeholder groups while demonstrating tact, diplomacy, and the ability to adjust communication style and tone.
  • Develop and execute customer plans that align strictly with corporate growth and profitability objectives.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market dynamics and competitive activity to help inform commercial strategy.
  • Analyze commercial sales data to independently generate actionable insights and identify new business opportunities.
  • Produce, interpret, and maintain routine and ad hoc reports to monitor overall performance and guide business decisions.
  • Apply structured, critical thinking to identify operational or financial inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.
  • Effectively prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and optimize time and resources.
  • Partner seamlessly across internal departments and cross-functional teams to achieve shared organizational goals.
  • Adapt quickly to shifting business priorities, market dynamics, and changing customer needs within a fast-paced environment.
