Position Summary Reporting to the Director, Academic Advising, the Assistant Director of New Student Advising leads the LAS programming efforts related to the onboarding, advising, and registration of over 2,000 first-year students and over 700 transfer/ readmit students each fall term, and over 300 transfer/ readmit students each spring term. With the support of the Academic Advisor, Advising Operations and focusing on ensuring the successful delivery of student-centered programming, the Assistant Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of New Student Advising and Registration. In collaboration with the Academic Advisor, Advising Operations, the Assistant Director hires, trains, and supervises student employees who support LAS New Student Advising and Registration and directly supervises LAS Academic Advising Center's Academic Advisors.
