Engineering Internship

In addition, we have an office on northeast side of Indianapolis where the Procurement and Supplier Development Department, Business Development and Product Engineering are now located. We have a third location in Troy, Michigan which houses our Sales Engineering, Logistics Distribution Center for USA, and Customer Resident Engineering.

Summary:

thyssenkrupp Presta steering is seeking a highly motivated student with an interest in developing next-generation steering systems. They will join a the team in our Troy, MI office for the summer of 2026.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Including, but not limited to, the following:

• make improvements on an existing simulation test bench currently used for
  demonstrating the state of the art steer by wire system

• support the engineering team in migrating process documentation and technical know-how from a Wiki portal to a new Microsoft SharePointbased platform.

• tasked with designing and making an enclosure for an analog/digital measurement circuit currently used to measure the load applied by a pneumatic system on a steering gear system test bench.

• Recommend updates to site safety policy and procedures
• Collaborate as a team player.
• Manage multiple assignments by setting priorities and adapting to changing conditions.
• Maintain strong organizational skills to ensure timely and accurate task completion.
• Operate as a self-starter who is committed to meeting deadlines.

Education and/or Experience:
Working towards a bachelor's degree in engineering
