, United States Essential Job Responsibilities:
The Part-time Motor Pool Dispatcher is responsible for performing the dispatching of vehicles and radios to support terminal activities. *Assign vehicles and radios to labor prior to shift, logging proper credentials for accountability. *Communicate with the mechanic's shop to ensure vehicles are serviceable and sanitized. *Report radios with communication deficiencies to the department manager. *Report any equipment not returned or damaged with the employer's complaint filed with the department manager. *Ensure equipment is ready for the next shift. *Support Terminal's operations during work hours. *Occasionally drive through the container yard during busy conditions. *Support the Security Department's needs for additional radios or vehicles. *Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
*Valid Driver's License. *Excellent time-management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work. *Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. *Excellent written and verbal communication skills. *Strong organizational skills. Supervisory Responsibilities: No Work Environment: *Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment. *Exposure to computer screens. *The office staff may be required to work outside on their feet 3-5 times a day, several times a week, depending on the workload. *Exposed to outside weather conditions. *The noise level in the work environment is occasional.
