Position Overview:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordination and management of new and existing related projects at OCHIN. In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating meetings, preparing agendas, documenting meeting notes, tracking all follow-ups and assuring deliverables are executed to progress your projects forward. You will manage project plans, raise risks and create risk mitigation plans to assure deadlines are met. You will provide clear updates to and coordinate with other project managers and leadership at OCHIN to assure project health.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate small-scale projects under supervision or close direction from Managers, including reviewing resource requests for gaps and review with Supervisor.
  • Build and organize appropriate project plans for any assigned project at OCHIN, updating and maintaining related project status.
  • Act as primary contact point for assigned projects (new or existing) by working with all stakeholders needed to gather information and track progress to goals for interface implementation (i.e. vendors, OCHIN, clients, and external partners).
  • Collaborate/negotiate with project champions/owners on project management strategy, timeframes, and specific outcomes to be achieved.
  • Manage risks/issues, communicate status, and negotiate changes in scope/resources/timeline to ensure project champion/owner and partner/client is satisfied with results.
  • See through operations processes, administrative tasks, deadlines and reporting tasks using analytics, data and resource/information management tools.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of related work experience- management/coordination of projects
  • Project Management training a plus
  • Proficient - Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Working knowledge/proficient experience with Smartsheet, MS Project or other PM applications
  • Epic certification and/or NextGen highly desired
  • Experience in Ambulatory or Acute Care Clinical Operations is highly preferred
  • Experience in healthcare or IT required
  • Prior to moving forward to the team interview, all candidates are required to complete a 50-60-minute competency assessment. The assessment gives us insights into how your strengths, preferences, and work style align with the OCHIN's nine core competencies. Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Constant interpersonal skills, teamwork, and customer service. Frequent creativity, mentoring, presentations, and teaching. Occasional decision making and independent judgment or action.
  • Reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • This position requires a virtual home-office environment, working remotely and will require that employees be on camera for all virtual meetings.
  • The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and mobile devices.
  • Travel is required to support OCHIN's business requirements for Go-Live installations or training which may require travel by air, vehicle, or train.

Work Location and Travel Requirements

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position.

Base Pay Overview

OCHIN uses broadened pay ranges to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.
