Job Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand and effectively explain the applications of various abrasives and material finishing techniques
  • Perform machine installations and follow up to verify proper machine setup and alignment.
  • Provide customer support via telephone for application and operational issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine problems at customer sites to improve and enhance equipmentperformance.
  • Develop technical documentation, including training manuals,workbooks,and sample projects forclassroom use.
  • Provide handson training and support to customers and internal teams to ensurepropermachineoperationadherence to best practices.
  • Diagnose and resolve machineperformanceissues. suffice inconsistenciesandprocessinefficiencies.
  • Work closely with management and customers to ensure solutions align with operational andcustomer needs.
  • Phone support to customers and service personnel as needed.
  • Travel independently throughout North America for equipment installation, service, and customertraining.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: To perform this job successfully, the individual must team-oriented with strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain positive Customer relationships while meeting deadlines. The candidate should be capable of troubleshooting a wide range of deburring and material finishing with a solid understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and components. The role requires the ability to communicate application strategies, process improvements, md effectively in both verbal and written formats. Candidates able to evaluate finishing analyze and make sound recommendations using independent judgment. Decisions made in this role may impact customer processes, machine performance, and team operations The candidate must also be willing to travel for customer support, machine installations, application development, and training. A valid driver's license, passport, and proof of insurance required.

COMPUTER SOFTWARE USED:

Adobe, AX, VSM, word, Excel

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* Associates or technical degree preferred

* 3 years of set up and operation of lasers in a job shop environment

* Familiarity with circuit repair and NC programming systems such as MasterCam, AutoCAD, and ESPIRIT and/or experience in industrial machine repair a plus but not required

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Job operates mainly indoors, but is exposed to changing weather conditions, such as extreme hot or cold, rain, sun, wind, etc. This job also works near moving mechanical parts and the noise level is moderate to loud. This position generally has a lot of driving and overtime work. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possession of a valid driver's license is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This job requires very frequent bending at the waist, twisting of the upper body, standing, speaking and hearing and frequent kneeling. Repetitive use of the hands, squeezing, keyboarding and crouching. Requires frequent lifting and carrying of 1-10 pounds, recurrent lifting of 11-20 pounds and occasional lifting and carrying of 21-50 or more pounds. Also requires constant pushing and pulling of 1-50 pounds and infrequent pushing and pulling of over 50 pounds with the aid of handcarts or other wheeled devices. Good visual and color acuity are a must to perform this type of job.
