Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidate (s) for the position of Storekeeper in the Building Services/Delivery Services Unit within the Libraries Division. Additional vacancies may be filled from this recruitment for a different location/section within the library system. This position may be assigned to any location/section within the Libraries Division based on operational needs.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Requires one (1) year in warehouse operations such as ordering, receiving and inventory or closely related experience.

Aerial Lift Certification One (1) year or more experience using Microsoft Office Suite One (1) year or more experience utilizing an automated system, such as SirsiDynix or any other similar material handling software system One (1) year experience with automated work system, such as AIM or any other similar work order software system Two (2) years or more experience with power tools, pressure washing and a variety of warehouse equipment including lifts One (1) year or more experience using a Forklift - Possess a valid Florida Class E driver's license at time of appointment and the ability to obtain and maintain authorization to drive on County business
The Delivery Services Unit performs sorting of library materials, receives circulating library materials from branches via contractual delivery drivers, processes the receipt and delivery from courier services (UPS, FEDEX, DHL, etc.), processes new materials and electronic receiving in the Library's automated system (SIRSI Dynix), pick up and distribution of USPS mail, the distribution of inter-office mail from multiple library locations, special pick-ups/deliveries driving a box truck or van utilizing a hand-truck, flatbed truck or an electric/manual pallet lift jack and preparing the return of leased books to the issuing vendor(s).
The Building Services Unit performs various maintenance functions necessary for library operations including: moving furniture, re-configuring work areas, assisting Libraries Information Technology staff with moving computer equipment, following through on requests and special projects as assigned, assigning materials and tools as needed for each project, maintaining Building Services supplies and equipment, delivering obsolete furniture and equipment to the land fill, reviewing buildings for safety issues, repairing furniture, assembling and break down library shelving, moving library materials as needed, setting up meeting rooms for special programs, providing access to library facilities for various vendors, assisting with opening new branch libraries and ensuring that facilities are prepared for voting activities. SCOPE OF WORK

General Description Performs responsible, specialized clerical and manual work in the procurement and control of materials, goods, and services at an assigned location. Works under close to general supervision according to set procedures, but determines how or when to complete tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary. Performs annual inventory throughout the entire division and at offsite locations; maintains a data base of all equipment in division with almost daily additions (new purchases) and subtractions (damages, surplus and equipment moving from one location to the next). Assists the IT (information technology) department in setting up and taking down new workstations or adding and removing equipment as needed. Prepares payroll preparation summaries for building services and deliveries; follows-up with managers with emails confirming completed service requests, resolves agency concerns and maintains sufficient inventories of tools, parts, furniture. Oversees and assists crew members as team leader making sure requests/special projects assignments are completed safely and efficiently by established deadlines or achieve goals; meets with crew about upcoming projects and events per preschedule meetings. Coordinates with high level manager's daily operational activities and service requisitions, weekly schedules, vehicles and equipment assignments, preschedule meetings and walkthroughs to determine the best way, reports emergencies and urgencies. Disburses materials, tools and equipment as required by work requests ensuring every item is returned as checked out and also receiving and delivering items as needed for various sections. Pulls and issues materials/equipment for the carpenters, electricians, painters, general maintenance mechanics, shop supervisors, building managers, and office staff; builds purchase orders quotes request from computer data with manufacturer's part numbers, supplier part numbers, with quantities needed; emails/faxes/calls quotes to vendors. Builds purchase orders (PO), purchase documents (PD), and delivery orders (DO) from the vendor quotes; sends PO to purchasing for approval; compiles and completes all the necessary paperwork associated with receiving material; checks invoice pricing against quotes; enters data into computer. Procures stock for warehouse and special projects, searches for price agreements or requests vendor quotes via e-mail and phone. Maintains warehouse and equipment, keeps area clean and orderly, keeps equipment in proper working order; keeps shelves stocked, bins full and in proper order. Visually verifies contents of shipments against packing slips and or invoices as to correctness and serviceability of materials. Performs related work as assigned.

Physical Demands
