Description Job Title: CMM Programmer Location: Basom, NY Employment Type: Direct Hire Industry: Manufacturing Compensation: $ $45,000 - $87,000 /yr Schedule: 40 Hours/Week About the Opportunity: The CMM Programmer is responsible for the management and operation of CMM measuring instruments and programs. This includes ensuring procedures are followed, resolving quality related issues, periodic inspection and calibration of measuring instruments to ensure measurement reliability, generation of reports, tracking of data, and recommendation of process improvements. APPLY TODAY What You'll Do: The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Zeiss Calypso CMM, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of CMMs and quality control procedures Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to ensure accurate measurement and reporting Perform precise dimensional inspections and analyze measurement data to ensure compliance with engineering specifications Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CMM programs, fixturing and measuring instruments to maintain smooth operational performance Works closely with engineering and production teams during product validation process and to solve quality problems in the manufacturing process. Devise strategies for system enhancements which assure long range integrity and cost effectiveness of the measurement system. Job Requirements What You'll Bring: High School Diploma or GED 3+ years of experience in precision machining (aerospace defense) industry environment. 3+ years of experience in Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming and operating in a 3D Measuring Environment What Sets You Apart: Associate Degree Experience with MSA and Gauge R&R activities. Able to communicate in basic English Possess diverse knowledge and experience in CMM operation capabilities and manual measuring instruments In-depth understanding of technical documentation (Drawing, specifications, etc.) Possess basic knowledge of product defect analysis and process management Basic Knowledge Computer skills(Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to present data effectively Problem-solving skills Team working skills Zeiss Calypso experience Additional Information: Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
