Job Description
About the Role:
Amcor is a proud employer partner of the Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME), a cutting-edge workforce education model managed by the Manufacturing Institute. This dual-track program combines two days of formal instruction at a local technical college with three days of work for a sponsoring employer partner each week, enabling students to apply classroom concepts to a real-world industrial manufacturing environment. Graduates of the FAME program earn both an associate degree and a nationally recognized registered apprenticeship credential - all while making a competitive wage. FAME Apprentices are dependable, hardworking, curious, and not afraid to fail forward. They embrace the grind, take initiative, and proactively manage their resources between assigned projects, daily responsibilities, and impromptu tasks, ensuring their work meets expectations for safety, quality, and timeliness. As a member of both the Kansas City and Topeka FAME chapters, Amcor's manufacturing plant in Lawrence, Kansas is committed to proactively developing the state's supply of skilled Industrial Maintenance Technicians.
