General Job Description Position Summary KEP Electric is seeking an experienced HVAC Operations Manager to lead Residential New Construction HVAC operations in the Cincinnati market. This role oversees field teams, manages projects from pre-construction through completion, and ensures safety, quality, budget, and production goals are met. The ideal candidate has strong residential HVAC experience, proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple active communities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day HVAC construction operations Manage schedules, budgets, labor planning, and production goals Lead and develop supervisors, foremen, and installation crews Ensure compliance with mechanical codes, OSHA standards, and company safety policies Coordinate with builders, vendors, and internal teams to maintain timelines Conduct job site inspections for quality control and installation standards Review blueprints and mechanical plans Monitor KPIs including cycle time, warranty issues, and labor efficiency Support recruiting, workforce planning, and cost-control initiatives Maintain company equipment and vehicles Other duties as assigned Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 4-6 Specific Qualifications Qualifications 5+ years of HVAC construction management experience (Residential New Construction preferred) Experience leading field teams across multiple job sites Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems and mechanical codes Ability to read blueprints and construction plans Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to pass background check and drug screening Preferred Certifications HVAC License (if required by state/local regulations) OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification Work Environment & Physical Requirements This position requires frequent travel between active residential construction sites and office locations. Must be able to walk uneven terrain, climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, work in varying weather conditions, and enter attics or crawl spaces as needed.
