Mass General Brigham's Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery program unite leading experts in obesity medicine, surgery, and research to deliver personalized, evidencebased care. Our multidisciplinary teams use advanced medical and surgical approaches to support sustainable weight loss and improved longterm health. We understand the challenges patients face in managing weight and the lifechanging impact that comprehensive treatment-including bariatric surgery-can have. While surgery can feel intimidating, many patients experience lasting benefits and often wish they had pursued care sooner.
Within this environment, the Senior Manager plays a key operational leadership role, ensuring that departmental functions, resources, and teams are aligned with organizational goals. Although this position does not involve direct patient care, it is essential to enabling highquality service delivery, staff engagement, and continuous improvement across the program. Summary Responsible for leading and managing departmental operations, strategic initiatives, and team performance in alignment with organizational goals. Ensures effective coordination of resources, delivery of highquality services, and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Provides daytoday leadership, fosters staff engagement, and drives continuous improvement. This position will be between both sites, MGH and BWH. As well as offer a flexible Hybrid schedule. Patient Care Required: No Essential Functions Oversee operational, administrative, or clinical support functions within assigned departments or service lines. Lead planning, development, and execution of departmental goals aligned with organizational strategy. Supervise and develop managers, supervisors, and staff; ensure appropriate staffing and performance management. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze trends, and implement process improvements. Collaborate across departments to support integrated service delivery and optimize resources. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and internal policies. Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance targets. Serve as a liaison to senior leadership, providing updates on outcomes, risks, and opportunities.
