Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the hospital to help prevent the spread of infection and support high-quality patient care operations. Duties include thorough cleaning and disinfecting of assigned areas, proper disposal of waste and hazardous materials, and maintaining equipment and furnishings in accordance with established infection control and environmental services standards.

Essential Functions
Perform routine and detailed cleaning duties in accordance with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and established departmental schedules.
Clean, sanitize, and service assigned patient and non-patient care areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment at all times.
Remove and dispose of regular, recyclable, and hazardous waste streams following organizational and regulatory guidelines.
Move furniture, equipment, and supplies throughout various departments as needed to support operational and cleaning needs.
Operate environmental services equipment such as floor machines, buffers, and other cleaning apparatus safely and effectively.
Maintain hospital facilities in a neat, orderly, and professional condition that supports patient, visitor, and staff safety.
Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and ongoing safety or compliance initiatives, including attendance at a minimum of eight unit/department meetings annually.
Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and infection control standards while performing assigned responsibilities.

Full-time
7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Every other weekend required

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply chemicals safely.
- Working knowledge of various cleaning tools like vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
