*Responsible for specific research studies
oPerforming complex established laboratory techniques (e.g.-Western blots, Immunohistochemistry, PCR, qRT-PCR, chromatin IP)
oAnalysis of research data to troubleshoot experimental protocols
oMaintenance of human cancer cell lines
oMaintain tissue bank and research data bases Presenting pertinent information at weekly laboratory meetings
*Responsible for initial training/onboarding of new lab personnel
oSafety walkthrough
oApplicable lab protocols for research
*Responsible for general lab operations and coordination such as:
oOrdering general and specialty consumables and reagents
oInitiation and updating of biosafety registrations
oProcure necessary service agreements for lab equipment
oGenerate Material Transfer Agreements between lab and outside institutions
oOverall responsibility of general lab equipment, training, and maintenance
Performs other duties or special projects that are department or unit specific, and that are appropriate to this level of position.

Education
Bachelor's degree in biological or physical sciences with knowledge of human anatomy or pathology required.

Experience
Experience in an academic or laboratory research setting 3-5 years required

- Strong database management and overall computer skills.
