Location Address: 2100 N Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd Clovis, NM 88101-9412Compensation Pay Range: Minimum Offer $15.57 Maximum Offer $20.78Summary: Delivers handson patient care by performing procedures such as phlebotomy, wound care, gastric and urethral tube insertion, and bedside testing under the direction of a licensed nurse. Supports daily clinical operations and safely operates patient monitoring systems to ensure accurate observation and timely communication.How you grow, learn and thrive matters here. Responsibilities: Patient Monitoring - Monitors patients, collects and documents vital signs, weights, oxygen use, and other clinical data; operates unitspecific monitoring systems. Clinical Procedures - Performs phlebotomy, wound care, dressing changes, enemas, gastric and urethral tube insertion/removal, bedside testing (oximetry, ECG, urinalysis, etc.), and assists with sterile procedures under nurse/physician direction. Patient Support - Assists with activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, walking, hygiene care, shaving, mouth care, and foot care; prepares patients for surgery; transports patients and documents actions. Record Management - Documents all care provided; assembles charts, posts test results, and uses the PACIS system at the required skill level. Nutrition Assistance - Delivers trays, assists with meal setup and intake for dependent patients, and accurately records consumption. Unit Operations - Ensures cleanliness of patient and nutrition areas; cleans, stores, and logs equipment; empties trash, linen, and sharps; stocks supplies, linens, and paper goods; processes broken equipment. Specimen & Supply Transport - Delivers specimens to Lab, Microbiology, and Pathology; transports xrays, blood, equipment, and nourishment. Clerical Support - Answers phones, takes messages, files, copies, and supports general unit communication. Team Communication - Organizes care to support team quality and provides pertinent information during endofshift handoff. Additional Duties - Performs other functions as required to support patient care and unit operations. Qualifications: Education - High school diploma or equivalent required. Specialized Training - Completion of a PHS NonLicensed Assistive Personnel course or similar medical/surgical patientcare training required prior to hire. Clinical Preparation - Receives onthejob training and competency verification to perform core functions safely and effectively. Preferred Background - One to three years of experience preferred; formal medical technician training or military medical training strongly preferred. We're all about well-being, starting with yours.
