Product Operations Intern

What We Seek

We are looking for a Summer Intern to support our Clear Intelligence initiative, which is focused on improving how curriculum content is structured, authored, and delivered across print and digital formats. In this role, you will work at the intersection of content, data, and systems design, helping to document and operationalize the content architecture that supports automated production workflows.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data and Reporting teams to translate existing content structures into clear, usable documentation. This work will directly support automated pipelines for content production, as well as downstream data and reporting systems.

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Document the existing content architecture, including how content is structured and nested within structured document files.

  • Document how shared content is reused across student and teacher experiences, including the use of shared UUIDs and common component structures.

  • Partner with the Data and Reporting team to understand how student interaction data in digital content is currently captured.

  • Analyze digital learning activities to identify interaction types, expected student responses, and data elements required to feed the data and reporting pipeline.

  • Support the documentation of how interaction data aligns with existing data models and contributes to the organization's data pipeline.

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to ensure the documented content architecture supports both production and future design system development.

What Success Looks Like

By the end of the summer, you will have produced clear and consistent documentation of content architecture that reflects how content is structured in practice.

You will have documented how student interaction data aligns with existing data models and identified gaps or inconsistencies that need to be addressed.

Your work will result in documentation that can be used directly by Engineering, Data and Reporting, and Design teams to support automated production and data workflows.

What Should Be In Your Bookbag

  • You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • You have experience working with structured data, such as JSON or XML, and with tools such as Python or SQL.

  • You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills and pay close attention to detail.

  • You can document complex systems and workflows clearly and in a structured manner.

  • You communicate effectively and are comfortable working across multiple teams.

  • You are comfortable working in an environment where systems are evolving and not fully defined.
