Cable Technicians Avon, CT (Overnight Shift) Pay From: $20.00 per hour MUST: Experienced Cable Technician Must have 3+ years of fiber/low voltage installation experience Must have experience terminating cables Must have go-getter attitude Willing to learn cable/telecom/ethernet field Willing to assist the site lead with many tasks Ability to work in small spaces. Ability to lift 40+ Lbs. Must have reliable transportation. DUTIES: Provide excellent customer service always. Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various cabling infrastructure. Pull, route, and terminate various types of cables, including coaxial, Ethernet, and fiber optic. Perform site surveys to determine the best installation route and method. Terminate RJ45 via CAT5E/6 in accordance with industry standards. Ensuring all cables are neatly routed, dressed, and bundled. Installation of cabling support components such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct. Installation IT equipment such as routers, switches, cameras, wireless, etc... Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational. Troubleshoot device and or cabling issues.
