Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Graduate Coordinator for the Rutgers School of Nursing Educational Opportunity Fund (
EOF) Program. The Graduate Coordinator will support the Summer Institute for incoming scholars.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Provides administrative and residential support for the Summer Institute within the School of Nursing EOF Program.
- Oversees residence hall operations, including monitoring student conduct, safety, and overall well-being.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for student staff (e.g., Teaching Assistants) in matters related to residence life and student behavior.
- Coordinates and facilitates evening and weekend programming designed to promote student engagement, community building, and personal development.
- Communicates regularly with EOF leadership regarding student concerns, behavioral observations, and overall residence hall climate.
- Supports the development and implementation of enrichment programming aligned with student success and transition to college life.
- Assists with conflict mediation and provides appropriate referrals to campus resources as needed.
- Collaborates closely with the EOF leadership team to support all aspects of student development and residential life during the Summer Institute.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of academic coaching.
- Positive record of accomplishments in coordinating, implementing, and evaluating academic support services.
- Evidence of prior experience in assisting students in better understanding course content and sharing strategies for time management, study skills, and test-taking.
