The Paralegal II will be an integral member of the regulatory transactions team within the Justice League of DaVita (JLD). This individual will support the legal guidance provided to the Company on regulatory and compliance-related matters as they arise with respect to health care transactions.

This position requires supporting attorneys who advise on Federal healthcare regulatory laws, including the False Claims Act, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and their implementing regulations. The paralegal should also have experience or a strong interest in supporting healthcare transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, and divestitures, as well as anti-trust risk assessments and state and federal licensing processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Transaction Support: Assist with various health care transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, divestitures, and similar structural alignments.

  • Regulatory & Compliance: Support the regulatory team in assessing risks and ensuring compliance with the Anti-Kickback Statute and related state and federal regulations.

  • Document Management: Draft, review, and organize transaction documents, and corporate governance documents.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with internal stakeholders, legal operations, and field teams to drive transactions to a successful close.

  • Project Coordination: Track deadlines, manage project checklists, and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • Four years of experience as a Paralegal.

  • Proficiency in MS 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams required.

  • Certificate in Paralegal Studies preferred.
