Systems Engineer I/II
Overview The VIRGINIA Class Propulsion Plant Test Equipment group is cognizant over support systems used to test the reactor plant and steam plant system's piping and components at Electric Boat's Groton Shipyard, Electric Boat's Quonset Point Manufacturing Facility, and the Nuclear Regional Maintenance Department at Sub-Base New London. Cognizance over the support systems spans both the Virginia and the Los Angeles class of ships with this group support both new construction, and major overhaul availabilities that Electric Boat is contracted to perform. Additionally, the VIRGINIA Class Propulsion Plant Test Equipment group is responsible for assisting with any deckplate issues that arise during reactor plant and steam plant testing, which utilizes test equipment, and offering technically sound solutions. Responsibilities of this position include:
Design, maintenance, and issuance of test equipment drawings with a focus on both technical quality and overall end user experience.
