Position Summary:

The Accountant works with the accounting team to perform accounting operations and administration. Will provide support to the organization's Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, lead payroll reconciliation processes, support in inventory activities, financial period closing procedures, and SOX controls. Manages responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supports major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies by following general accounting policies, processes and activities
  • Reviews policies and processes and recommends modifications to existing corporate programs
  • In support of the Controller and Director of Finance, prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations
  • Support accounts payable /receivable function
  • Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets
  • Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions
  • Support in inventory activities
  • Completes financial period end closing procedures

Required Skills:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an advanced level of Excel
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Required Experience:

  • Experience in manufacturing
  • 3-5 years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Tax reporting knowledge and experience

Level of Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or related field

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $80,000 to $105,000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
