Description Medical Group PracticesNursing/Clinical Support For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Medical Assistants: 0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time) 1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time) Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; Your Role: The Medical Assistant II role is assigned duties and responsibilities related to patient care and administrative support in a team-based environment while promoting a smooth flow of patients through the office. The Medical Assistant II role functions under the license of the physician/advanced practice practitioner when performing clinical and other patient care responsibilities. This role is part of the Lincoln Hospital School Based Health Center (SBHC ) team, primarily based in Morse High School, Bath Tech but position may, on occasion, support any of the Lincoln Hospital SBHCs. Because this position is based in a community clinic, work focuses on patient outreach, care coordination and scheduling rather than traditional MA role. Position with MaineHealth is 20 hours a week, these hours are combined with 14 hours during the school year with RSU 1, for school district medical assistant will support the school nurse by administering basic first aid, managing health records, monitoring students for health concerns, and communicating with families about illnesses or injuries. Ability to pick up shifts in other Lincoln practices for additional hours or during school vacations to preserve paid time off for the base 20 hours per week.
