Location(s): Austin, TX

Role Summary:
Seeking a senior-level Business Analyst with strong experience in business systems analysis, SDLC methodologies, data analysis, requirements gathering, testing support, and user-focused documentation. The role serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams while also supporting application documentation, training materials, and user guides for internal systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs.
• Gather, document, and manage business and functional requirements.
• Work closely with Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Sustainment, and business teams.
• Analyze raw data and support data-driven decision-making.
• Participate in software development lifecycle activities including analysis, design, testing, and implementation.
• Support unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Conduct business process mapping and process reengineering activities.
• Prepare solution analyses including:
  • Cost/benefit analysis
  • ROI analysis
  • Risk identification
  • Buy vs. build recommendations
• Create detailed functional documentation and process workflows.
• Develop and maintain:
  • User guides
  • How-to documentation
  • Training materials
  • Screenshots and visual reference aids
• Translate technical functionality into user-friendly documentation for non-technical users.
• Participate in demos, walkthroughs, and enhancement discussions with IT teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of Business Analyst experience.
• Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and best practices.
• Experience reviewing and evaluating business systems and processes.
• Experience working within SDLC environments.
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation experience.
• Experience participating in:
  • Software design reviews
  • Unit testing
  • System testing
  • UAT support
• Strong planning, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Ability to independently manage complex assignments.
• Experience serving as liaison between business and IT teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Data analysis and raw data interpretation experience.
• PMP or project management exposure.
• Technical writing/documentation experience.
• Experience creating screenshots and visual instructional materials.
• Ability to simplify technical concepts for business/end users.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Senior Business Analyst with hybrid BA/Data Analyst capabilities
• Comfortable working with both technical and business stakeholders
• Strong documentation and communication orientation
• Experienced in government or enterprise application environments
• Able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
