Primary Responsibilities In the role Civil 3D Design Lead, we'll count on you to: Primary focus will be as a multi-disciplined CAD Designer focusing on mechanical, piping and structural design executing Oil and Gas Terminal / Facility projects and other Industrial Design projects. Secondary focus will be as a multi-disciplined CAD Designer focusing on mechanical, piping and structural design executing Industrial facilities projects. Develop, implement, and support other CAD staff on 3D Plant design. Maintain (i.e., update as appropriate) the Oil & Gas CAD Standards. Assist with identification / recruiting / interviewing / integrating Oil & Gas Pipelines CAD staff across all Areas. Develop 3D models using point cloud data. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Plant 3D experience preferred Navisworks Manage experience preferred Requires substantial mechanical design and drafting experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry 15+ years of 3D facility modeling experience required in either Plant 3D or CadWorks ArcGIS experience required Strong understanding of Civil Survey data Preference given to local candidates #LI-EH1 Required Qualifications Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant experience A minimum of 10 years related industry experience Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure. Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tools Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools Advanced understanding of engineering or architectural concepts Knowledge of industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specifications Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and organizational traits are essential Leadership and mentoring skillsets required What We Believe HDR is our company.
