Primary Responsibilities

In the role Civil 3D Design Lead, we'll count on you to:

  • Primary focus will be as a multi-disciplined CAD Designer focusing on mechanical, piping and structural design executing Oil and Gas Terminal / Facility projects and other Industrial Design projects.

  • Secondary focus will be as a multi-disciplined CAD Designer focusing on mechanical, piping and structural design executing Industrial facilities projects.

  • Develop, implement, and support other CAD staff on 3D Plant design. Maintain (i.e., update as appropriate) the Oil & Gas CAD Standards.

  • Assist with identification / recruiting / interviewing / integrating Oil & Gas Pipelines CAD staff across all Areas.

  • Develop 3D models using point cloud data.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Plant 3D experience preferred

  • Navisworks Manage experience preferred

  • Requires substantial mechanical design and drafting experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry

  • 15+ years of 3D facility modeling experience required in either Plant 3D or CadWorks

  • ArcGIS experience required

  • Strong understanding of Civil Survey data

  • Preference given to local candidates

Required Qualifications
  • Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • A minimum of 10 years related industry experience
  • Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure.
  • Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tools
  • Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
  • Advanced understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specifications
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and organizational traits are essential
  • Leadership and mentoring skillsets required
