Who You Are:

The Senior Designer supports the Marketing, Business Development and Proposal teams by creating high-quality, on-brand visual assets that strengthen our market presence and clearly communicate our professional services, capabilities and expertise. This role owns assigned projects from concept through final delivery, partners with marketers, subject-matter experts, and business development/sales in a remote or hybrid environment, and produces work that is polished, consistent, and deadline-driven-supporting credibility, clarity, and client trust.

What You'll Do:

  • Design professional services marketing and sales-enablement assets, including pitch decks, capability statements, case studies, one-pagers, proposals/RFP response graphics, thought-leadership reports, and event collateral.
  • Translate creative briefs and complex service offerings into clear concepts, layouts, and final deliverables that support demand generation and business development.
  • Develop, maintain and apply brand standards (typography, color, imagery, templates) to ensure consistency and quality across all touchpoints.
  • Support in partnership with leadership, current and impactful content for corporate website and social media platforms.
  • Create and maintain templates for presentations, proposals, one-pagers, case studies, and long-form documents to improve speed, consistency, and quality.
  • Prepare production-ready files for digital and print (PDF standards, correct sizing, resolution, color profiles, bleeds, and exports), with attention to readability and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with marketing partners and subject-matter experts to ensure visual hierarchy, accuracy, and narrative clarity (e.g., frameworks, process diagrams, and data visuals).
  • Manage multiple requests simultaneously, providing accurate estimates, proactive status updates, and on-time delivery in an asynchronous (remote/hybrid) workflow.
  • Partner with stakeholders to clarify requirements, present design rationale, coordinate reviews, and incorporate feedback while maintaining quality and version control.
  • Organize and maintain an asset library (source files, exports, fonts, brand elements) and ensure files are easy to locate and reuse.
  • Independently lead design projects within defined brand guidelines, contribute to improving templates/workflows, and help elevate the overall creative quality of the marketing team.

What You'll Bring:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 5-7 years of graphic design experience in an in-house marketing team, agency, or similar environment.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); working knowledge of Figma or similar tools preferred.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating brand-driven design, visual storytelling, and production-quality execution.
  • Highly skilled in design principles, typography, layout, color, and composition.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort presenting design rationale and receiving feedback.
  • Comfort working in a remote or hybrid environment (clear written communication, self-management, and collaboration using tools like Teams/Slack and project trackers).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint in particular).
  • Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
  • Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
  • Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate's start date.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing for professional services (DOD/government contracting, consulting, IT services, or similar) and sales enablement.
  • Professional understanding of web/digital design best practices (responsive layouts, file optimization, and accessibility).
  • Experience creating infographics, data visualizations, and process/framework diagrams that simplify complex topics.
  • Advanced presentation and document design skills (PowerPoint layout systems, proposal/whitepaper formatting, and strong typography).
  • Experience supporting proposals/RFPs and working with business development teams under tight deadlines.
  • Illustration and iconography skills.
  • Experience working from a project intake system and/or managing work in a ticketing tool.

Compensation

Expected Salary: $95,000 - $108,000. Salary for this position could vary based on location and experience.

Location Requirements

Hybrid - Washington D.C. or Greenville, SC. This role partners closely with marketing managers, content/copy, communications, business development/sales, and other internal stakeholders through live and asynchronous collaboration to deliver creative that supports business goals.
