Get to Know Your Team:

  • UT Health Quitman offers 25 private rooms, a 24-hour Level IV trauma center and Level III stroke center, surgical suites, advanced diagnostics, swing bed care, cardiopulmonary rehab, on-site physician clinics, and a sleep lab.

Responsibilities

Performs necessary surveillance, prevention and control activities through data collection and analysis. From these activities, makes recommendations to ensure that the goals of the UT Health Infection Prevention program are met. The position is under the general supervision of the Infection Prevention Manager.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Nursing or Medical Technologist
  • Current RN License
  • Two years of clinical experience
  • Experience with change management with the ability to provide leadership in the adaptation and implementation of new processes and /or technology that enhance Quality, clinical processes and evidence-based best practice
Preferred Job Requirements:
  • BSN
  • Infection Prevention experience
  • Experience working in a complex health system (hospitals, ambulatory clinics, post-acute care, etc.)
  • Experience with external entities that drive and support Quality approaches and standards, including government agencies, academic institutions, universities and related organizations of higher education, and other public institutions
