Position Summary

The Manager of Global Business Development is responsible for the strategic execution and operational alignment of the go-to-market (GTM) process for IT Cosmetics and Youth To The People. This role serves as a vital bridge between the DMI and regional zones, ensuring that brand strategies are effectively implemented across markets and channels.

The Manager must be a highly organized, data-driven professional who can navigate a complex matrixed environment. You will collaborate daily with Global Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Digital teams to ensure launch readiness and business continuity. While the Director focuses on long-term strategic vision, the Manager focuses on mastery of execution, market support, and high-level business analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

International Strategy & Execution

  • GTM Implementation: Drive the execution of global growth strategies across regions and channels, ensuring that all markets are aligned with the brand's strategic pillars.
  • Zone Advocacy: Act as the primary point of contact for Zone/Country needs, distilling their feedback into actionable insights for DMI functions (Marketing, Digital, Merchandising, etc.).
  • Marketing Paniers: Support the development of "Marketing Paniers" (product launch bundles) by region, ensuring category and franchise growth ambitions are tactically supported in all channels.
  • Milestone Preparation: Lead the preparation of data and presentation materials for key business milestones, including 3-Year Strategic Notes, Zone Summits, and Drive Meetings.
  • O+O Support: Coordinate with Online + Offline departments (Retail Design, Education) to execute channel optimization and assortment productivity plans.

Market Development & Support

  • Operational Point of Contact: Serve as the day-to-day business driver for specific markets (e.g., Europe and Travel Retail), managing the planning of new product launches, pricing updates, and local market initiatives.
  • Launch Readiness: Track and ensure all business drivers (logistics, promotional strategies, local assets) are in place for successful on-time delivery.
  • Business Analysis & Modeling
  • Performance Synthesis: Conduct comprehensive monthly business analysis, including Retail Reporting (Sell-In/Sell-Out), New Launch performance, and Mix of Business analysis.
  • Insight Generation: Go beyond data entry to provide "the story behind the numbers," identifying risks and opportunities for the brands.
  • Modeling Support: Assist in conducting business modeling simulations and budget analysis to support annual brand strategy and market development projects.

Operational Support & Liaison

  • Portfolio Maintenance: Manage the "Add & Delete" process for the portfolio, coordinating planogram updates and assortment discontinuations with Merchandising and Operations.
  • DRIVE Timeline Integration: Support the implementation of the DRIVE timeline, ensuring all cross-functional partners are meeting deadlines for market forecasting and pre-launch requirements.
  • Asset Management: Oversee the management of Lab Samples and PR Product Management to optimize pre-launch forecasting.

REQUIREMENTS

* 5-7 years of progressive experience in marketing, business development, or retail management (Prestige beauty preferred).

* Strategic Execution: Proven ability to take a high-level strategy and break it down into a clear, actionable project plan.

* Project Management: Elite organizational skills with a track record of managing complex timelines and multi-faceted projects simultaneously.

* Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to build strong, collaborative relationships in a matrixed environment. You must be able to influence partners without direct authority.

* Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You can simplify complex data into clear, concise presentations for senior leadership.

* Resilience: The ability to manage shifting priorities and provide clear direction to markets even in times of ambiguity.

* Data Fluency: Advanced proficiency in Excel and business analytical tools; ability to conduct deep-dive analysis and simulations.

* Global Mindset: Proven knowledge of global cultural nuances and the competitive beauty landscape.

* Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
