Electrician / Maintenance Tech II Richmond, VA Shift: Peak Season (March - October) 6 AM - 6 PM Off Season (November - February) 6 AM - 4 PM Pay: $35+/hour based off of experience In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Plant in all maintenance functions including supervising contractors, safety compliance, 5S, completing PMs and scheduling projects. Primary Responsibilities
- Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, AutoCAD, P&IDs, HVAC repair, and other specifications. Using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment: Installs power supply wiring and conduct for newly installed machines and equipment, such as conveyors, and programmable controllers, following electrical code and blueprints, using hand tools and voltage tester.
- Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints, using hand tools and test equipment.
- Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using test equipment, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables, using hand tools. Tests malfunctioning machinery, using test equipment, and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers, such as Mechanics, to diagnose malfunction.
- Replaces faulty electrical components of machine, such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices, using hand tools.
- Work with various voltages including 480V, 240V and 120V. This includes single and 3 phase circuits.
Qualifications
- 5 years of journeyman level electrical experience.
- Working knowledge of National Electric Code.
- Experience in Microsoft Office
- Experience in PLC programming
- Experience in Inventory Management
