| Primary Purpose of Position |
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Housing Operations Facilities.
The majority of the workload is in plumbing.
This position will need to understand both commercial and residential plumbing.
This position also works with steam hot water heating systems (Leslie Controls).
This position will assist other team members with understanding national and local plumbing codes. |
| Minimum Qualifications |
Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position's role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

| Essential Job Functions |
The maintenance mechanic will perform commercial and residential plumbing duties and responsibilities.
Have experience with the installation of commercial and residential plumbing fixtures.
Have experience installing various types of piping (copper, cast, Pex, pro press, Upanor,
CPVC and
PVC).
Ability to troubleshoot leaks, including opening up walls and ceilings from ladders, and be able to work in tight, awkward spaces to identify leaks.
Experience in repair and preventative maintenance of water coolers, ice machines and appliances. Will stay up to date on and explain national and local plumbing codes to other staff.
Experience in plumbing is essential to completing job functions. |

Knowledge and skills of commercial and residential plumbing.
Knowledge and skills working with steam hot water heating systems (Leslie Controls).
Knowledge of national and local plumbing codes.
Will assist with maintenance mechanic work as needed, in areas such as
HVAC, Electrical, Carpentry, Locksmith, and Window/Floor/Wall Maintenance. |
