Special Education Teacher (P-3)

Maywood Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Special Education Teacher for grades (P-3)

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, small-group, and push-in instruction aligned to IEPs
• Implement modifications and accommodations to support student success
• Collaborate with Child Study Team members, general education staff, and related service providers
• Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
• Support students in resource room, LLD, and inclusive settings as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey P–3 Certification required
• Valid New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification required
• Experience in resource room, LLD, and in-class support settings preferred
• Knowledge of differentiated instruction, modifications, and accommodations
• Ability to develop data-driven Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFP)
• Ability to write measurable IEP goals and objectives aligned to student needs
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Orton-Gillingham training/experience preferred

Salary:  Per negotiated agreement
