Position Summary

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Operations and located in our Danbury, CT facility, the Value Stream Leader drives performance across a chemical and packaging manufacturing site through Lean principles and continuous improvement. This role supports plant operations, sets strategy, and provides direction to Team Performance Leaders (TPLs) and cross-functional teams to achieve safe, efficient, and profitable results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations and execution of the production plan aligned with Company and Global Supply Chain strategy
  • Partner with the Sr. Director of Operations to set and achieve short- and long-term production goals
  • Drive a culture of safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Optimize resources (people, materials, equipment) to meet quality, delivery, and cost targets
  • Analyze performance metrics and adjust operations to improve efficiency and outcomes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to plan capacity, processes, and resource needs across chemical and packaging operations
  • Lead Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, including waste reduction and process capability improvements
  • Support new product launches and engineering-driven process improvements
  • Resolve complex operational and customer-related issues
  • Communicate site strategy, goals, and performance expectations clearly across teams

Leadership & Team Management

  • Directly manage and develop Team Performance Leaders and cross-functional team members
  • Set goals, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations
  • Partner with HR on hiring, development, and employee relations
  • Foster a high-performance, accountable, and engaged team environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (technical or finance preferred)
  • 5-10 years of experience in chemical, packaging, or related manufacturing environments
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and high-volume operations
  • Proven ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication, presentation, and facilitation abilities
  • Proficiency in Excel and data-driven decision-making
  • Self-directed, adaptable, and results-oriented

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $106,100-$182,965



The range disclosed complies with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Offers within this range will be determined by considering relevant factors including education, experience, and internal alignment. This position may also be eligible for annual performance bonuses and other incentive programs. Sealed Air offers a competitive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits designed to promote well-being.
