Summer EHS Intern

Location: Bedford, PA

Ready to turn classroom learning into realworld experience? Kennametal's Bedford, PA manufacturing facility is seeking a Summer Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Intern to gain handson experience in a fastpaced metals manufacturing environment.

The Bedford facility produces Earth Cutting Tools, including tungsten carbide and steel products used in mining, construction, and specialized engineering applications.

What You'll Do



  • Contribute to the EHS Site Standards Continuous Improvement Initiative
  • Assist with machine guarding and minor servicing programs
  • Support Emergency Action Plan updates
  • Participate in industrial health monitoring (noise, dust, fume)
  • Conduct risk assessments and evaluate job safety analyses
  • Perform HAZCOM audits (labels, SDS management, training)
  • Support environmental compliance activities, including Industrial Wastewater, NPDES, and Air Emissions recordkeeping
  • Complete other EHS projects as assigned

Who We're Looking For
