Who We Are:

Our Physician Relations Team is dedicated to providing up to date, relevant information to community healthcare providers about new services, programs, specialists and events for Children's National Hospital. Our liaisons conduct regular visits to referring physicians, respond to concerns and actively seek feedback from providers to ensure that referral processes are convenient and operating well.

About the Role:

As a Provider Relations Liaison at Children's National Hospital, you will develop and implement strategic marketing plans in geographically defined territory to increase referrals from community physicians into Children's National Health System. You will collaborate with our service line chiefs and our specialists to facilitate relationships with community referring physicians. You will be responsible for gathering market intelligence, logging activities in Salesforce and reporting out to manager in a timely organized manner. Experience with Salesforce and reporting is preferred. You will analyze referral patterns and demonstrate ability to drive results. You will coordinate with physician practices and Children's operational team to problem-solve and measure physician satisfaction trends.

Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree Concentration in business, marketing, communications, or a related field (Required) or Relevant experience beyond the minimum required work experience may substitute the educational requirement on a 1-to-1 ratio i.e. one year of relevant work experience equals one year of required
education (required)

Minimum Work Experience
2 years of experience in provider relations, medical sales, or outreach in a
healthcare setting(Required)

4+ years of experience in provider relations, medical sales, or outreach in a
healthcare setting (preferred)

Required Skills/Knowledge

* Strong relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Familiarity with pediatric healthcare or referral processes preferred.
* Proficiency with CRM/Salesforce
* Strong written/verbal communication
* Experience with EMR systems, EPIC preferred

Functional Accountabilities
Research and Strategy

  • Utilize referral data across each territory to identify overall and service line specific referral patterns.
  • Assist in the development of short- and long-term marketing plans to optimize the use of physician referrals to health services.
  • Provide strategic council across the organization as it relates to physician relations by attending meetings and joining committees focused on referring physician relations and communications.
  • Assist the Director to develop physician targeted strategies to enhance communications and partnerships with referral community

Physician Outreach

  • Coordinate and implement visits to referring practices to build and maintain relationships, include ongoing follow-up and monitoring.
  • Provide information about Children's services lines, key physicians, initiatives, and research.
  • Coordinate with Children's operational and service excellence departments to problem-solve, identify trends and suggest improvements, and measure trends in physician satisfaction.

The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children's National believes an individual's base pay rate will fall for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum of the pay range. The exact pay rate for this position will be based on a variety of factors in alignment with the Children's National compensation philosophy. These factors are legitimate and non-discriminatory including, but not limited to, the current market conditions; organizational needs; the individual's combination of prior work experience, level of education, knowledge, skills, and other qualifications. Children's National is committed to providing a fair and competitive total rewards package to each of our employees. This base salary range does not include our comprehensive benefits package or any additional compensation for which this position may be eligible.
