Job Summary:



The Department of Chemistry is seeking applicants for multiple instructional positions for the upcoming term:
* General Chemistry I Lab Instructor(s): In-person instruction during the day on Thursdays or Fridays.
* Lecturer - Introduction to Chemistry: Lecture course meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00-6:15 pm.
Teaching responsibilities include explaining chemistry concepts, facilitating student learning, grading assignments, and maintaining effective communication with students. Instructors are also expected to maintain an active online presence through the learning management system (Brightspace), including posting announcements, grading online assignments, and keeping the gradebook up to date.



Minimum Qualifications:



Masters degree in Chemistry or related field



Essential Functions:



* Communicate effectively with students in written and oral formats
* Explain chemistry concepts clearly in a classroom or laboratory setting
* Facilitate student learning in an inclusive environment
* Grade assignments and provide timely feedback
* Maintain course materials and records in Brightspace



Preferred Qualifications:



Ph. D. in Chemistry or related field
