Shipping and Receiving Associate 1st Shift

Base pay range is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

1st Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM, potential for overtime including weekends when needed

Metal Sales is the nation's largest manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems with 21 locations across America. Our Sellersburg, IN branch has an opening on our production team for a Shipping and Receiving Associate.

A Shipping and Receiving Associate is the last person to see the product before it gets to our customer. Each product load has a direct reflection on Metal Sales and thus accuracy and care must occur with every product load.

You'll be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Safely operating a forklift to load Metal Sales multi-stop trucks and customer will calls as they come in.
• Ensuring product is damage free and piece counts match order.
• Visually inspecting trailer before loading and reporting anything unusual.
• Checking fluids on loading trucks.
• Assisting in unloading & loading of C/C trucks as needed.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment and assisting in other departments as needed.

• Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment
• Ability to safely operate a forklift
• Basic math skills, including ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to work independently and with others
• High school diploma or GED

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Must be able to read, hear, talk, drive lift trucks, wear PPE, and lift up to 75 lbs. repetitively
• Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit approximately 7 hours minimum per work shift
• Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in the winter and summer months
• Noise level is moderate to loud
