*Collects and evaluates scrap material from various departments to sort as applicable and place into baler to be converted into bales. *Evaluates various types of scrap and strives for optimum salvage. *Operates mechanical equipment in recycling scrap material. *Operates wire binder on baler. *Maintains weight of bales for record keeping. *Places bale in storage area for disposal. *Reports repairs needed for train cars and gondolas to supervisor. *Maintains operation of batteries for all industrial power trucks. *Maintains power truck batteries to prolong the batteries and chargers life. *Maintains records pertaining to the history of chargers on a weekly and batteries on a daily basis. | |
