Job Description

What You Will Do:


Astronautics Corporation of America (Astronautics) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Human Resources & Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support a broad range of human resources and talent acquisition activities. This position works collaboratively with leaders, hiring managers, employees, and external partners to foster a positive candidate and employee experience while supporting efficient HR operations in recruiting, onboarding, payroll and timekeeping, benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives.


This position is located at our headquarters in Oak Creek, WI. You will report directly to the director of human resources.


How You Will Do It:



  • Coordinate full-cycle recruiting support, including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and timely collection of hiring feedback.
  • Assist with sourcing efforts through research, recruiting tools, external resources, and agency partnerships.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including background checks, reference checks, new hire paperwork, orientation scheduling, first-day communications, and follow-up activities.
  • Maintain employee lifecycle transactions and records in HR systems, including new hires, terminations, retirements, and related documentation in ADP and IFS.
  • Provide payroll and timekeeping support including timecard review, payroll report review, vacation request entry, and manager training/support related to timekeeping processes.
  • Assist with benefits administration by monitoring benefit elections, responding to employee questions, and coordinating related communications and documentation.
  • Support compliance activities, including I-9 processing, background checks, records retention, auditing, ethics training, and staffing-related documentation.
  • Coordinate employee recognition, engagement, and internal communication activities, including service awards, company events, Thursday Three and AstroVision.
  • Provide general HR administrative support, including reporting, SharePoint administration, front desk backup, employee inquiries, and continuous improvement of HR and recruiting processes.



What We Look For:


Required




  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, communications, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum three years of experience in recruiting, human resources, payroll/timekeeping support, or a related administrative role.
  • Experience using recruiting tools such as an applicant tracking system and HR systems such as ADP, IFS, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast-paced, and challenging work environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to human resources.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.


Preferred



  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting, including technical recruiting.
  • Experience supporting onboarding, benefits, payroll, and timekeeping processes.
  • Experience with employee records administration, compliance documentation, and audits.
  • Experience coordinating employee events, engagement programs, or training activities.
