Orbis is seeking an experienced Case Officer to support overseas intelligence operations in the Middle East. This role is responsible for the identification, development, and management of human intelligence (HUMINT) sources in support of U.S. Government mission objectives. The selected candidate will operate in dynamic and high-risk environments, leveraging interpersonal expertise and regional knowledge to collect actionable intelligence. This opportunity is a 1099 Independent Contractor role.

Key Responsibilities



  • Identify, assess, develop, and manage foreign contacts with access to mission-relevant information
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships to facilitate intelligence collection
  • Conduct operational meetings and activities in accordance with security and tradecraft standards
  • Collect and report intelligence on regional security, counterterrorism, and political/military developments
  • Produce clear, concise, and timely intelligence reporting for U.S. Government stakeholders
  • Support the execution of HUMINT collection plans and operational priorities
  • Maintain strict operational security and adhere to all client-directed protocols
  • Coordinate, as required, with internal teams and government counterparts


Deployment Expectations



  • Willingness to deploy for extended assignments in the Middle East
  • Ability to operate in austere, high-threat, or rapidly evolving environments
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours in support of mission requirements
  • Demonstrated cultural adaptability and professionalism in overseas settings


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain/maintain SCI access
  • Demonstrated experience in HUMINT operations, source handling, or related field
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and elicitation skills
  • Proven ability to operate independently in high-pressure environments
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment
  • This is a 1099 Contractor role


Clearance Requirement



  • Must have an active TS/SCI with Poly


Preferred Qualifications



  • Prior experience supporting U.S. Government or DoD intelligence missions
  • Regional experience in the Middle East
  • Foreign language proficiency (e.g., Arabic, Farsi, Kurdish)
  • Military or prior overseas operational experience
  • Familiarity with intelligence reporting and operational systems


Physical Requirements



  • Ability to deploy and operate in austere, remote, or high-risk environments for extended durations with a rotating schedule of 3 months in country at a time
  • Capability to conduct field activities requiring prolonged standing, walking, and movement in varied terrain and climates
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to approximately 25-35 pounds
  • Ability to travel frequently, including international and in-theater movement
  • Must meet medical, psychological, and physical readiness standards required for overseas deployment
  • Ability to maintain focus, awareness, and performance under physical and mentally demanding conditions


Work Environment

This position is deployed overseas and may involve challenging living conditions, security risks, and frequent in-region travel. The role requires individuals who are mission-focused, self-sufficient, and capable of operating with limited oversight while maintaining alignment with Orbis and client objectives.
