What this job involves:

The IFM Lead drives strategy, integrated service delivery, and operational excellence for emerging IFM business with significant rapid growth potential. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for leading multiple Facility Managers across pilot geographies, with intent to rapidly scale to oversee multiple Regional Facility Managers and Facility Managers across the US and Canada. You'll build and scale new client relationships, manage service transitions, negotiate expansion opportunities, and establish the operational foundation for enterprise-wide growth.

You'll establish best practices, track performance metrics (KPIs, SLAs, cost savings), manage critical programs (business continuity, property inspections, performance management), and serve as the strategic liaison between the Account Director and Firm resources. This role requires up to 50% travel and on-call availability for high-severity event escalation as required.

What is your day to day?

Strategic Growth & Multi-Geography Leadership:

  • Lead multiple Facility Managers across several US and Canadian geographies, building scalable organizational structures to support rapid expansion
  • Position the organization for growth from current multi-site operations to leading multiple Regional Facility Managers and their teams across North America
  • Lead transition management and integration of new IFM sites across diverse markets, establishing standardized operational frameworks that enable consistent scaling
  • Identify and negotiate expansion opportunities with clients, translating business requirements into growth initiatives across geographies
  • Build trusted advisor relationships across emerging accounts, anticipating client needs and delivering solutions that exceed expectations regardless of location
  • Develop innovation strategies that create competitive differentiation and unlock new business opportunities at enterprise scale

Operational Leadership & Excellence:

  • Own all Facilities Management aspects across the geographically dispersed portfolio including business continuity, building financials, customer experience, facility condition inspections, work order management, and client initiative execution
  • Serve as on-call escalation point for high-severity events, providing leadership and crisis management across all sites as required
  • Establish consistent standards and processes across multiple sites while adapting to regional requirements and market conditions
  • Support HSSE/EHS compliance with environmental laws, codes, and regulations across all locations
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership on preventative maintenance programs (NGM) and JLL's Operations Compliance Program
  • Integrate service delivery across functions and geographies, managing seamless handoffs while ensuring alignment with client objectives
  • Create and manage programs, processes, and tools that drive measurable results and enable scalable best practices across diverse locations

Team Building & Development:

  • Hire, develop, and retain top talent across multiple markets; build high-performing, geographically dispersed teams capable of delivering operational excellence in fast-paced, agile environments
  • Develop leadership pipeline and organizational structures to support transition from managing FMs to leading multiple RFMs and their teams
  • Foster employee engagement and career growth while scaling team capabilities to match rapid business expansion across North America
  • Provide regular coaching, feedback, and leadership direction that elevates individual and team performance across distance and time zones
  • Translate firm strategy into actionable business opportunities that inspire and mobilize distributed teams

Performance & Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive outperformance on key metrics through proactive planning and execution across all sites
  • Implement quality assurance and continuous improvement programs that establish benchmarks for best-in-class service delivery at enterprise scale
  • Identify trends, diagnose patterns, and solve complex problems with analytical rigor across diverse markets
  • Share learnings and replicate successes across geographies and the broader account and firm

Desired Experience and Technical Skills

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in commercial real estate and/or Facilities Management
  • Proven track record managing multi-site, geographically dispersed operations and scaling teams
  • Experience with transitions, client expansion, and business growth
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Office Suite)
  • Ability to travel up to 50% and maintain on-call availability for high-severity escalations

Preferred:

  • 10+ years' experience in Facilities Management
  • Experience scaling operations from initial sites to regional/national footprint
  • Background managing Regional Managers or building multi-tier organizational structures
  • Familiarity with US and Canadian facilities management regulations

Estimated compensation for this position:

150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
