Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to serve as a Team Lead within our Project & Development Services group. This dual-role position requires both strategic client leadership and hands-on project delivery. The successful candidate will act as the primary client interface, translating business priorities into actionable project plans while managing their own portfolio of projects. Additionally, they will lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, ensuring consistent delivery excellence and professional development across the team.

Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership & Strategic Interface

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong relationships at senior levels
  • Understand client business objectives, priorities, and constraints, translating these into clear project requirements and delivery strategies
  • Proactively identify client needs and opportunities for PDS service expansion
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and strategic planning sessions
  • Manage client expectations and communicate project status, risks, and escalations effectively

Project Delivery

  • Directly manage a portfolio of complex, high-value projects from initiation through closeout
  • Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, and risk management strategies
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly and escalating when appropriate

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development
  • Translate client-driven requirements and strategic priorities into clear assignments and deliverables for team members
  • Review team project plans, methodologies, and deliverables to ensure quality and consistency
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones and performance discussions with team members
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
  • Support workload balancing and resource allocation across the team

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure adherence to JLL PDS standards, methodologies, and best practices across all projects
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of project management processes and tools
  • Participate in business development activities including proposals, presentations, and client pitches
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting in JLL systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field
  • 7-10 years of progressive project management experience in corporate real estate, facilities, or construction
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with budgets exceeding [insert threshold]
  • Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles with senior-level stakeholders
  • Previous experience leading, mentoring, or supervising project management teams
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence and negotiate at all organizational levels
  • Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Procore, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • PMP, CCM, or similar project management certification preferred

Estimated compensation for this position:

126,600.00 - 183,400.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
