Facilities Manager

What this job involves

Leading integrated facility management operations for a strategic client account, overseeing operational teams responsible for critical building systems, maintenance operations, and corporate office environments. This leadership role requires driving excellence across all facility management functions while serving as the primary point of escalation for client concerns within your assigned regional facilities. You'll be accountable for ensuring contract deliverables are consistently met or exceeded, including operational uptime targets, cost savings initiatives, energy consumption reduction programs, and continuous service improvements. By introducing best practices and innovative solutions, you'll elevate the client experience while supporting JLL's Integrated Facility Management (IFM) objectives and collaborating seamlessly with other service line functions on the account.

Your day-to-day tasks will include
  • Providing leadership and strategic direction for efficient operations and maintenance of critical building systems, support plant operations, and corporate office environments across regional facilities
  • Analyzing operational trends and utilizing data analytics to anticipate issues proactively, communicate solutions effectively, and drive informed decision-making that enhances facility performance
  • Serving as the lead for management and resolution of client escalations, directly interfacing with client senior management, vendors, and stakeholders throughout all levels of the organization
  • Supervising JLL Engineering personnel, ensuring team productivity, professional development, and adherence to quality standards while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture
  • Managing vendor relationships by closely monitoring work requests, holding partners accountable for delivering high-quality service per contract scope, and continuously improving service quality while reducing overall costs
  • Conducting planned facility inspections to verify service level delivery, ensuring quality assurance aligns with user perception as indicated by satisfaction surveys and client feedback
  • Managing routine touchpoints with regional client teams to proactively engage on emerging issues, resolve conflicts through solution analysis, and maintain positive client relationships built on trust
  • Overseeing budgeting and financial management for projects and operations, preparing detailed scopes of work with cost analyses, and delivering regular and ad-hoc reports that demonstrate value delivery and operational performance
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, business administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in facilities management, building operations, or integrated facility management within corporate, commercial real estate, or multi-site environments
  • Proven experience managing and developing teams with demonstrated ability to provide leadership, direction, and supervision that drives performance excellence
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems with ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance
  • Financial acumen to manage operational budgets, identify cost savings opportunities, and prepare detailed project scopes with accurate cost estimates
  • Self-motivated professional with ability to work independently, multi-task effectively, and organize competing responsibilities to achieve goals and objectives in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in facilities management with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing multi-site operations or large-scale facility portfolios
  • Experience in integrated facility management (IFM) or outsourced service provider environments with proven track record of exceeding contract deliverables and client satisfaction metrics
  • Demonstrated success implementing cost savings initiatives, energy consumption reduction programs, and operational efficiency improvements that deliver measurable results
  • Strong expertise in contract compliance management, quality control processes, and familiarity with applicable building codes, specifications, federal and state regulations
  • Advanced data analytics capabilities with experience using facility management systems, CMMS platforms, and business intelligence tools to drive operational insights
  • Proven conflict resolution and client relationship management skills with experience directly interfacing with C-suite executives and senior leadership in resolving complex escalations
