Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Full Time

As a Security Officer Patrol Sentinel in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal in a government location supporting a public education environment, where you will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist students, staff, and visitors with professionalism and care. In this unarmed role, you will use strong communication, customer service, teamwork, and integrity to support daily operations in a dynamic, people-first setting.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public education location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, visitors, and public officials as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior and/or policy concerns, and document incidents according to site guidelines.
• Support daily operations during school and administrative activities by maintaining a visible presence and assisting with security-related requests in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
