Description

Save the Children

For over 100 years, Save the Children has been fighting for the rights of children. The right to a healthy start in life. To have access to education. To be in a safe environment, protected from harm. We work in some of the world's hardest-to-reach places - over 100 countries, including the U.S. No matter what your role is, when you join Save the Children, you're creating positive, irreversible change for children, and the future we all share.

The Role

Save the Children's Impact & Evidence (I&E) division is committed to ensuring that all children in rural America have a healthy, strong foundation to thrive as learners and in life. Our contribution to a full cradle-to-career continuum is focused on the early years, birth through elementary school; and our goals are to increase kindergarten readiness and grade-level literacy and math proficiency for children in under-resourced rural communities.

Save the Children is seeking an Advisor, Education. In this role, you will be supporting the delivery and management of after school programs in rural South Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring programs are implemented effectively and achieve results for the children we work with. You will provide direct supervision and technical assistance to a team of Lead Associates implementing 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) elementary education programs. Working on-site and remotely, you will provide training, technical assistance, and management support to a portfolio of program partners. You will build capacity within the team and ensure programs are being implemented with maximum impact. This includes attending meetings with partner organizations to troubleshoot issues, providing guidance on quality program implementation, overseeing training event planning, reviewing program data, and meeting donor implementation and reporting requirements. The ideal person in this role requires a high level of discretion, attention to detail, organization, flexibility and accountability.

Note: This role is contingent upon funding, with an anticipated start on/around July 2026.
