Build your Career. Make a Difference. Presbyterian is hiring a skilled Register Nurse to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in an Outpatient Clinic. Common responsibilities include preparing the patient for the visit, maintaining efficient patient flow, assisting the provider with treatments and procedures, medication administration, support for clerical functions to include scheduling, referrals, authorization and in-basket support with the electronic medical records.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs PHS employee testing, collects blood and appropriate lab tests as needed.
  • Administers Hepatitis B vaccines, flu shots TB tests and other medications as directed by physician or established protocols for PHS employees.
  • Provides healthcare instructions and health education to PHS employees as needed.
  • Participate in educational programs, review current literature and attend services meetings and workshops to enhance professional growth and development.
  • Provides appropriate triage for PHS employees that are injured to Occupational Medicine, ER/UC as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with disability managers as needed.
  • Performs other functions as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in nursing
  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
  • BLS certification REQUIRED at time or hire
  • Prefer employee health experience but not required
